I uploaded a image from genesis publishing where he had signed some crossroads sets..the reason I might get roger to quick opinion it is a couple things:

The loop in the c in Clapton starts in the identical spot, without any hesitation as there is no pool of ink from trying to get it in the perfect spot, in between the top part of the E and the loop itself including the angle upwards looks very close including the height..

then the C loop turns up at the right spot keeping the signature as a whole including heights of letters and placement very close to the genesis one, the c at least..then the swipe at the end of the signature is is the correct place on the correct angle..

It seems possible with all that said maybe it could be real and it was a quick signature in a less then perfect setting like a sidewalk vs a table at a private signing or he was briefly distracted as im sure he always would be..

I'm no expert but i can draw portraits so I am very good with details ..i know its not that easy to get all those factors right without the possibility of being real and since i already have it...also it seems strange that if you get the exact placements starting points of letters, and overall symmetry and signing angles right you should be able to handle the E so maybe he was distracted at the start or tried not to sign over his face..who knows

thanks again and any thoughts on the similarities?

Tony, this example is the type of example I was talking about with a similar 'Clapton', though you will see some subtle differences in that the 96 version has some finesse (angle up to the 'l' and the kink after the 'l') whereas the photograph does not possess these.

As Ian said if it were mine already then I would get the opinion of Roger.

I will and let  you guys know

Hey guy, this is my in person Clapton obtained at the Cannes Film Festival. IMO Tony is the one you've posted isn't genuine.

Yeah the Warner bros pic came back not genuine per Roger..sending it back but i am out 20-30 bucks ..ahh such is life..all learning lessons cost money

got this a couple weeks ago..1000% trust the source ..i like the older sigs better than the sharpies..hides signature flaws too much

As expected not genuine per Roger..no worries I got the LP above

thanks for all the feedback

this is awsome

Thanks man..it it a very cool piece indeed..

the only one I like a bit more is a Ramones album signed by all 4 + richi Beau when he was a roadie before he became the drummer...

Sorry, but I have never seen authentic Cream sigs looking like this.
You might want to get this checked by Roger as well?!
