Hi, I recently came across this PSA/DNA certified Clint Eastwood Autograph and was hoping to get some opinions on it. It does not look like his autographs over the 10-20 years, but I am assuming that PSA saw something in it for them to pass it. Anyone have any ideas on what it could be?5.jpg

I don't trust my judgment on Clint. I would like to have one as well but authenticity is always a question. There are some well versed members on here who will hopefully chime in.

I think it could be real, maybe an early-ish example where he sighed his whole first name? The 'Eastwood' looks good, I think.

I would have to tell you that this is not a good exemplar of Clint Eastwood's Autograph.  I'm sorry.  I don't know who said it was in PSA, but I cam across almost an identical one and it was a forgery.

This was an In Person autograph in NYC about 6 years ago of Clint Eastwood.

Thanks for the replies...There is a PSA/DNA sticker on the item. It was signed in the early 2000's I believe as the magazine is roughly from that time period. It did not, however, match the commonly agreed upon signatures which is why I questioned it. There is one in a previous Eastwood post that was agreed upon as being authentic that does closely resemble this one. I definitely have my doubts though and I will probably steer clear. Does anyone know what happened to the large database of Eastwood Secretarials? I cant find it anywhere.  Wasnt there an in depth signature study done on Eastwood?

Looks like another PSA/DNA blunder to me.   It doesn't look like any In Person Clint Eastwood autographs I've ever seen, and I'm met Clint a number of times.   I'm not real well versed in his mail graph, but I know people have been saying for years, his mail stuff is not real.  I suspect that is what this is, something obtained through the mail.

Regarding the comments of it possibly being an old graph, that isn't true, nor the answer.  This magazine highlights Eastwood's movie "Flags of Our Fathers", which was released in 2006.   I have obtained IP Eastwood autographs dating back to 1988 and his autograph has changed little over the past 26 years.

I would personally stay away from this piece, unless you want a fake Eastwood autograph with a PSA/DNA sticker on it.

PSA, it is said, aren't reliable when it comes to authenticating autographs as its been said that they have authenticated forgeries and passed them off as genuine, which is why I probably wouldn't use them and I wouldn't feel comfortable sending a highly valued item through the mail for authentication, anyway.

On the piece, I wasn't convinced by it, either. Clint is such a tough signature to get online, which is real, as a lot of forged items appear. Best to use a reputable dealer online and use the golden rules 1) advice 2) coa for with picture of item and other relevant info (seller's address etc.) 3) lifetime guarantee. Can't go wrong and you're protected if the item turns out to be false.
