I recently bought this Eastwood on Ebay which I feel is legit. What are your opinions please?

Thank you so much!

The following is from the seller:

This is a rare and original 8X10 hand signed Clint Eastwood autograph that I bought for $175.00 from Alfie's back before he sold his business in 2002.  Before 2002 Alfie's had a flawless reputation!  This particular photo was signed in blue sharpie and comes with a COA.

Alfie's was highly recommended to me, and I did purchase several autographs from him between 1995 and 2002.  He was located in Santa Monica and was actively photographed while pursuing autographs from the 'stars.'  I have attached a link to my email which has more insight into his background.  It's a shame that he sold his business to a crook who hurt his reputation,

"He could be just dropping that name to get someone to not look at the autograph and take a bite"

And that's why I said he should ask Alfie himself :)

We have some pretty good folks on this forum that vouched heavily for Alfie, so I'm sure he'd be happy to help out.  If the seller is using an "Alfie story" to sell fakes, I'm sure Alfie would also like to know about it.

I agree with the rest.

I just received the print and the COA. Here is a copy of the COA.

Everyone in this thread who has seen the autograph believes it to be a forgery. The COA is meaningless. Maybe it's a legit COA attached to a fake autograph at a later date? But you've got to look at the autograph. Did you order a PSA quick opinion? I'm positive it won't pass.

I don't like it. I'd like to hear from others.

Check out this thread to get a better idea of what Clint's autograph should look like. There, you could see the problem with the upward slant on yours, along with the mishapen letters.

Here are two that I own. They are signed 20-30 years apart, yet they share many of the same characteristics.

I think the Clint Eastwood signature originally posted is a flat out forgery.  Doesn't look authentic in my opinion.

I also don't like it, the d and slant , ah the whole thing. Sorry, I would look into it.

I found this new Ebay listing that is PSA/DNA certified that may be a hurried signature. This type of signature was what led me to think mine was OK. I am not trying to tick any body off - it may very well be a hoax. But what say you please about this comparable sig? Once again I thank you and respect your opininons.

Examine that rushed signature closely. See how its shape and formation match the two examples I posted right above? Look at the unique formation of the "C", look at the formation of what represents the "lint" (just another oval) and the formation of the top part of the "E". Then look at the overall upward slant of the signature.

This example has nothing in common with the autograph you first posted. You're running out of time to get a refund on your fake autograph because you're waiting for one person to come on here and tell you it's real. You're new to the hobby--and that's fine-- but you have to understand that when  things look too good to be true pricewise, they always are in this hobby. Before you spend money on an item take some time to understand the autograph and how it's formed. Or, take advantage of the board before you buy, or get a quick opinion like I suggested above..

But the longer you wait isn't going to make this autograph any less of a forgery. Be thankful you found out while there's still a refund window.

Thanks JXE for the great advice. I appreciate it.

I returned the print successfully. Thanks again for your help. I think I am seeing what to look for in the sig. What do you think of this Eastwood from Presspass Collectibles?

This CLINT EASTWOOD SIGNED AUTHENTIC 11X14 PHOTO AUTOGRAPHED PSA/DNA #S80521 has been certified authentic. It will include the PSA/DNA numbered hologram and matching Certificate of Authenticity.

They are asking $349.00. What do you think of how the "D" is formed? Thanks again. I really appreciate your opinion! I understand they are over priced. I cropped the pic.

I verified the PSA/DNA
