Hi All,

Here is a snapshot of me getting a Stop Making Sense cassette insert signed by David Byrne in black felt tip in July of 1990 in Central Park. This is the first autograph I remember getting I believe, ever, and I am lucky to have this snapshot of the event. At first he was leaving secretly - the stage for his outdoor concert had collapsed from rain. I was looking under rather then over things, and noticed him making a get away to a waiting cab while folks were still outside his trailer. I followed and helped him with the cab and his stuff. He asked me to hold his guitar and coffee while he opened the trunk and then signed for me - by this time everyone else had caught on where he was. He offered me a lift, which I declined unfortunately, and he swiped my pen. ;) I get nervous sometimes and make bad choices - once I was seated next to Marilyn Manson in Box 1 Row 1 at a Radiohead concert and he asked me backstage with him and that guy from the Village Voice (Michael something) and also Calvin Klein (fashion extremes with me in the middle in orange leather). I did not take this opportunity. Oh well.

I have a David Byrne signed backstage pass that I had him sign at a show in Miami years ago.  Talking Heads are/were one of my favorite bands ever.

Nice story. One can only imagine the story you would have had from hanging out backstage with Manson, lol.
