thanks for posting, 

Have seen Soto sing with Yngwie and Journey live and always thought he was a decent voice, 

Ellefson probably should be labeled ex-Megadeth.  Very nice in-person the couple times I said hello, and his coffee brand is actually pretty good, but still unsure if I'm ready to support him with my dollars, after the sexual misconduct stuff all came to light.

As far as I know it was two consenting adults, but to be honest not the first and won’t be the last musician/celebrity to be caught out or breaking the law. 

it’s probably harder to find one that hasn’t had allegations made against them.

FYI, in addition to this: Ex-Megadeth bassist David Ellefson admits to "masturbating encounte...Ellefson was accused of grooming an underaged girl online, as mentioned there and elsewhere.

Anyway, it shouldn't effect the value of any music made as that is art (Charles Manson made albums after all), but the question comes down to if you want to support him, given the behavior stated.  Sure, many other musicians have been in similar situations, but it's the consumer's choice on whether to support or ignore, with their buying power.  A personal choice, and something to wrestle with, in deciding.

She wasn’t underage that’s my point, both turned out to be consenting adults. No charges were libelled after police investigation and he is now seeking damages and charges against the female. You have to be cautious of what you read in the media, particularly Wikipedia.   

whether it’s morally wrong is another argument, but it wasn’t criminal. It’s a moral judgement for people as was Michael Jackson (albeit many still have views on that), Elvis Presley (Priscilla was underage), Steven Tyler (took a minor on tour), Jerry Lee Lewis married his cousin (a minor), Ozzy attempting to murder Sharon, Johnny depp domestic violence allegations….etc etc 

I’m willing to give ellefson the benefit of the doubt, he was stupid but the media took it to a much darker place which when investigated wasn’t true. 

but you’re right it’s a personal choice.

This is true.. the only people that can judge him right now are his family. He's a cool humble guy overall. People will always have opinions on stuff like this.. I just like him as a bass player and an artist.. if my autograph collection was tied to moral righteousness, id have to get rid of most for one reason or another.. im sure he's been through enough over the last year and a half. We give actual criminals better second chances sometimes. 

That said, im passing on this only because I have enough Ellefson signatures on megadeth items.

My signed vinyl arrived today.  The art card is 11x11'ish which I dislike because I don't have a good framing solution for that size.  The splatter look vinyl looks cool though.
