Hello all,

I've had this Gilmour signature for a number of years now, I didn't obtain it in person, it came with an 'about face' solo album and it's only on a piece of paper unfortunately. If genuine I'm assuming it is from that era (early/mid eighties) if deemed authentic I will probably mount it with a photo and attempt to sell it.

I think this looks fine for the period. See what Seamus says.

Looks good to me!

Many thanks Andreas, I appreciate it.

Thank you very much Eric,

Most welcome. It is a very nice example and should mat well. I suggest looking for a period 1980's © photograph to mat with it - something from his label or a b/w promotional 8x10 for this LP or the like etc. A color photo would likely overpower this presentation.

PS - Be sure to get your framer to attach this cut signature properly to the mat backing board - ask for archival/reversible mounting. This is very important.

Thank you Eric for being so helpful, I appreciate it. I will take your advice.

This is authentic in my opinion.

Thank you very much.

Authentic, IMO.

Thank you Joe very much.

Absolutely real. Gilmour fakes are usually easy to spot since nobody can get the shape of the “d” correct...
