I have been collecting Amelia Earhart autographs for a while now. For at least the past two and a half years ebay seller "allsigned" has been nonstop selling Amelia Earhart signed covers very inexpensively.
To me this reads as a bad sign for two reasons:
1. No dealer should ever have 100+ Amelia Earhart signatures all on different covers. It'd be more believable to me if they were all on the same cover - maybe she did a signing. But 100 signatures all on different covers throughout different years of her life to me seems unlikely.
2. Even if you do have that many covers there is no reason an Amelia Earhart will ever fetch such a low price. If it is to be believed that they are forgeries, I would imagine they have driven down both the demand for her signature as well as the price.
Very interested to see what you think. I'm including links to a current listing and all current sold Earharts.
