I often have a look for Beatles' autographs that are coming up for sale in the UK. I usually focus on the provincial auction houses in the (invariably vain) hope of getting a bargain.

It depresses me how many of these auction houses seem to make no effort to verify what they sell.

Here are three examples of items being sold by Adam Partridge. Each seems to have solid provenance (obtained by Freda Kelly's assistant etc.) but to me all three are dubious to say the least.

Am I right?

Yeah, all bad.

Its not even close.

Had a very bad experience with Adam Partridge auction house and would never use them again. Short story is they lost pieces after auction without informing the buyers (buyers had to chase up before they would admit pieces were missing/stolen) and they wouldn't refund on fake autographs even with expert opinion. They may offer some genuine items but with their completely terrible after sales service (IMHO) I wouldn't go near them, and allowing more fakes through their sales just confirms this for me.
Rant over!

How can any so called "auction house" look at these and decide to allow them for sale. It says a great deal for this one that they have. Ridiculous..

Ok, first 2 sets have been signed by Freda or another fan club secretary, the 3rd is an authentic set all signed by John, The "all the best from the
The Beatles" bit is in his hand too, signed in mid-1963....hope this helps.

Agreed. The third set was done entirely by John.

Number 3 is very cool.

The others are from the fan club....the newspaper is signed by Lennon...

The first one is for auction on Ebay right now with a BIN price if 17k...

There's one on ebay ,but I don't think it's this one.
