I am the manager of The Auction Place Inc. and responding to your post!
We do not sell any autographs that we know are fakes, we are consigned
1000 of items and check the FBI list and internet for fakes.
No where is Leslie Barber or Celebrity Sports Arena listed or accused of making
forgeries or fakes, except by your website and I do not see your forensic credential posted.
All our items are available for preview and all certs are displayed
in the lots photo gallery. Our terms are clearly stated in the auction when you signup
all items sold as is and all certifications are the responsibility of the person who issued them.
We can not be an expert in every item we handle so hence we make inspections available.
You are very quick to post false and misleading statements, we never lied to anyone this
customer never called before hand or asked our opinion of the items he bought so how could
we lie? We did our homework and found no issue with the COA listed it and sold the item.

you found no issues with the COA? what criteria do you use to judge the validity of a COA? You want forensic credentials? there are several butchers out there (many have been the subjects of discussions on this site) that qualify. We are not forensic document examiners. Many of us have been involved with autographs for many years. but no, we do not have forensic credentials. Damn.
We search the internet via Google and the FBI Site as well as Ebays list of banned people.
What else do you suggest we have sold many autographs and have been suckered in by the
many companies that ship us fakes and we stop selling them as soon as we find out. In fact we only
take private consignments due to that fact. You guys jump the gun before you even have the facts.
Post in correct facts that everything we sell is fake how is that right? DO your homework check out the
item before you buy it.
Ignorance is no excuse. Forget the COA's and look at the blatant forgeries that were up on your website...like the Dimaggio & Mantle. If you don't know what you are selling, why sell it? It really isn't good business, Is it? Help me understand?
Shouldn't you be an expert in something? I have seen this Leslie the Barber chick in Beverly hills shear many a dumb A**
A good rule of thumb is when you see "Forensic Examiner" associated with Autographs, run like rabbit with thorn in paw. This is the kind of thing that will give your business a bad name. As a business owner not far from you in the San Fernando Valley, I would NEVER sell my client services or anything for any reason that was suspect....and if it was, I would be embarrassed and give them their money back FIRST and ask questions later. The fact that your company tried to shove the sale down his throat is total BS.
Maybe it's time to stop taking in autographs? This is happening all over the world and you are perpetuating the fraud and in MHO are complicit in the crime by turning a blind eye. Please stop it. It's not fun nor funny. Thanks for taking the time to post and I wish you well. IF you stop it. If not, you deserve the bad publicity. Give the poor bastard his money back, pull your autographs and continue to sell your Nazi material instead. All the best.
At least this Eagles album that we are talking about is not signed by the members of Eagles. Have you ever seen a genuine signed album look like this? Not one of the signatures are close to a genuine signature. I rather compare a signature with a real one, than check the FBI list of forgers.
wow thats bad. So who exactly checks these?
Whoever forged that album might want to do their homework also. Timothy B Schmit and Joe Walsh (at least I think thats whos autograph thats supposed to be?) aren't even on this album.
The two members who do appear on the album don't even have their names spelled correctly.
This gem is up for sale right now. A full band U2 LP with a $10 starting bid. I could stop right there, but I'll post the image anyway.
This is so blatantly forged that it doesn't even take a trained eye to make that call. Just a few minutes of moderate research on the internet would probably do. But God forbid you should do any legwork in keeping your customers from getting ripped off.
I noticed that you were selling several Packers items with Mister Sports (Ron Marth) COAs in your previous auction. It would have taken you all of a couple seconds on Google to find out that this company was busted for forgery in 1998. Absolutely zero effort on your part.
If you have any real interest in doing the right thing, I'd start with at least temporarily ceasing your sale of autographs until you hire someone who has a clue what's going on.
Pending review we have removed these items from the sale.
"I noticed that you were selling several Packers items with Mister Sports (Ron Marth) COAs in your previous auction. It would have taken you all of a couple seconds on Google to find out that this company was busted for forgery in 1998."
They must have missed that while diligently combing through the FBI files.
Is Stevie Wonder your authenticator?
You are an inconsiderate fool at best. You do not understand nor want to understand how things work or how the auction business works, you jump to conclusions and only hear and see what you want. On top of that you are very rude my father was blind and I find your picture and your references to Stevie Wonder very out of line hope someday you get to deal with it and see how horrible it is. This is my last post we have over ten years selling at auction and have never knowingly sold a fake item on purpose. I will admit there are houses that will but not here.
You all have a wonderful life!
Your comments are as worthless as your humor.
