Ebay sellers of forgeries list their crap on Ebay because they know the suckers and wannabe autograph collectors will purchase their forgeries.
This is a typical 1990s's penned Mickey Mantle forgery.
The worthless COA is from Bob Preston, B&B Cards & Collectibles.
Suckers and wannabe autograph collectors are always lured by the various phoney inscriptions on forged items.
This particular Mickey Mantle forgery was penned in the thousands.
The holiday season is prime-time for sellers of forgeries to sell their garbage to suckers and wannabe autograph collectors.
And all of this as Ebay continues, as they have for the past twenty years, to PROFIT from the sales of forgeries.

The sad part is that this is probably going to be a Christmas present for someone, who will be excited about it....right up until they find out that is a bad fake.

The really sad part about it all is that the person receiving this gift will probably never know it's a fake. It will be shown off on his desk or home office and he will never know it's a forgery. He also will not have an interest in a Mantle autograph again, thus leaving up authentic ones on ebay and driving down the price since he his for so cheap.

I agree that it will drive down prices. It will be discovered to be fake either when the person sends it to a TPA to sell it or they hand it down to someone who does. Or when someone that knows something about autographs looks at it and gags.

That's exactly my point. Another reason why these forgers always promote their items will pass any authentication and come with lifetime. If by chance somebody does send a purchase in to PSA, by the time they get it back and find out it's a forgery...it's too late to file with Ebay or the forger has disappeared and unable to be contacted.
