Ebay Seller Knicksjets Derek Jeter Autographed Jersey Number Forgery COA Global Authentics

Here's another Derek Jeter forgery on a jersey number found on Ebay.

This "mechanically-penned" Derek Jeter forgery was "authenticated" by Global Authentics (Steve Sipe).

We really have no idea the number of Derek Jeter forgeries that have infected the hobby with COAs from Global Authentics.

But based on the few sellers that were listing and selling these by the dozens on a weekly basis on Ebay, the number has to be well over a thousand.

This ugly Derek Jeter forgery is listed by Ebay seller Knicksjets.

Hey, not doubting your expertise but I am curious. I know Global Authentic is garbage now but how can you tell that the autograph is from an Auto-pen machine? or is it just what GAI does now?

When I wrote "mechanically-penned," I meant that the autograph was penned so methodically that it looks "mechanically-penned."

Global Authentics "certed" hundreds upon hundreds of these Jeter forgeries.

My full story on them is below:

Wow! I just read that article! Good eyes on that pressure and curvatures. I just took a second look at my Jeter Ball that is very old and I had certed through JSA to kind of confirm it and you're spot on. The ink is lighter where the ball curves and those by GAI are perfectly colored everywhere.

Thank you!
