Richard...respectfully, you are 100% dead wrong.

It is easy to detect that a putrid forgery at first glance...really easy to be perfectly honest.

here is the exact pose with an authentic signature. There are 15 different points I see wrong with the forgery for starters...how many can you find Richard?

Incredible NO QUESTION AUTHENTIC example posted above by Fudd.

Fudd, that is one awesome Mantle signature. Beautiful.

Richard,

You do realize who Chris Williams is? Of course you dont, lol. Chris is probably the number one Mantle and jeter expert in the USA if not the world. So you should at least try and learn about who you are criticizing. I guarantee you that Chris Williams could pick out every fake Mantle you put in front of him, from master forgers to cheap knock offs, and probably tell you which forger penned them. So here is something you should do if you dont believe me, call up PSA, JSA, GA, PAAS, and any other authentication company and ask them if they have heard of Chris Williams and what they think as far as his knowledge base on just Mantle. I think you will quickly get a sense of respect out of who outed your forgery.

Carl, I appreciate your comments, but believe me, I continue to learn something new every day.  I learn from my own studying and from the great people here like yourself, Mr. Zipper, Fudd, Terrier, our leader Mr Cyrkin, and everyone.

I would like to think, and I think we do, learn from each other.

Richard,  I've posted hundreds upon hundreds of Mantle forgeries on this site.

Point out the ones that I've gotten wrong.

Second, your "Mantle" is a poorly executed forgery.  A no-brainer.

So you think it is authentic, Richard?  Let's make a bet.

You submit it to PSA or JSA.  If they authenticate it (as authentic), I will pay you (Richard) $5,000.   If PSA/JSA deem it a forgery, you owe me $1,000.00.

Put your money where your "trained eye" is.

That's how you claim to be genius by having PSA or JSA authenticate it.  How about I post 10 different autographs on here and run a contest to see who gets it right.  I can honestly say I don't know what is real or wrong but I don't claim to be an expert.  I view my autographs in 2 categories (ones I personally got face to face and those purchased 2nd party)  anything 2nd party can be fake and probably a lot of them are but all I'm saying is specifically what is the trait or identifying issues that you can without a shadow of a doubt mark this picture fake.  I think for the price and COA it had it probably is fake  but if this was hanging in Steiners office what would give it away that's all I'm asking

Richard, the whole signature gives it away. C'mon, just look at it. Place it next to an authentic one and stare at them for awhile. You'll get it.

Study autographs like we do.  It takes a long time to acquire a "trained eye."

Forgeries like yours are meant to have the "appearance" of being authentic.  Yours is a no-brainer forgery.

By the way, Richard, none of here claim to be experts, but many of us are very knowledgeable when it comes to autographs.

And we will continue to expose Ebay sellers of forgeries.

I hope you'll do the right thing and refund the buyer's money if they've paid already; and then destroy that Mantle forgery.

Richard, why don't you post photos of the Mantle autographs you acquired in-person.

Lets see the opinion on this one
