editing issues

I edited a post I made within the 15 minute time frame.  A day later the message reflects the edit but your home page listing of it still reflects the message BEFORE I edited it

You mean the "Latest Activity" list? It only reflects your reply or comment when you post it, not the edit. That's because the button the post it triggers it's placement in the activity stream.
