Does anyone believe this is authentic?
Has anyone seen anything like this?

IMO it's the German forger once again as it shows the "tell tale" sign I look for

I agree with you. I don't think that there's a chance that Elvis signed it.

What year was this photo taken?

This is Hans Baker?

I don't know who Hans Baker is.

Alias ... German forger?

I don't know Eric
Maybe on or before '59 or maybe after

Yes it would help to know, but in this case I don't believe there is much chance it's authentic signed

If it's not the German forger, then I believe it's another forger who is using his style as a template
Either way, there is one part about this signature that I have never seen Elvis do

Yes, Hans Baker - the German forger. This looks nothing like the Bakers I have seen. Shouldn't it...look like an Elvis signature? Obviously the signature is absurd, but the date of the photo - you know I like things like that. If this photo was taken after those 2 or 3 trips to Germany in '59...well, that's that. It almost looks like a movie set and that smile seems post 1960.

Seems photo was 1958. I like to take these things apart w/o using the signature at all - sometimes this works quite well. Recall the 1953 style Monroe on the 1964 Flamingo Menu (dated by the tax charged) ;)

1958 production still King Creole.

Yes I like your method of dissecting stuff

Glad I finally know that dude's real name

Yes Hans' sigs are usually better executed, but in this case it has the exact same trait I look for

So maybe there is another forger in our midst using Hans' style. Which is of course a good thing because it makes picking out the forgery that much easier

hahaha Eric

Did Elvis have a post 1960 smile LOL

That's funny buddy... made me laugh

Oh it is quite valid. Certain forged 17th Century Dutch and other portraits reveal themselves with post-Freudian expressions, or how a glass is held etc. How many tines on a fork and so on. When was the map on the wall published...

You are full of interesting investigative reporting

Love it
