no doubt many good German ones and like I said if you know the background, the person, or trust the seller 100% go for them. But it seems the army era autographs were a hotbed for forgers, one in particular, so unless all the above criteria is met, they are not for me

Hello Steve,

okay, now I got your point quite well :-) I totally agree with you!

Many thanks

Markus

Hello Steve, hi colleagues,

what do you guys think of this comparable one? Authentic? Any other comments?

This is mine in color. I appreciate every single opinion.

Thanks as always
Markus

I think this one is also a typical Euro/Army era forgery all done by Hans or now I have heard a new Belgium forger who is flooding the market with Hans type forgeries.  There is a great thread about this on the Facebook Elvis autograph group.  I am learning myself about these new forgeries which are very very good.

Fake

Not real in my opinion.

Hi Karsten,

you think my yellow one is a Bakker fake? Wow! Experience and gut feeling - or any remarkable traits/hints that lead you to this conclusion - if I may ask?

Have a great evening
Markus

PS: May I also ask for your opinion about my 1955 Elvis/Scotty/Bill posted in a paralll thread?

Hi Markus,

I think Steve is right. Well known forgery style. Your yellow one doesn't have the right flow, the right style. It looks a bit shaky overall. IMO that is not Elvis' signature.
Best,   Karsten
