Bob,

Thanks. I'm glad to have Steve Sipe coming here to address things. I just wish he would stop his personal attacks and downright defamatory claims.

I haven't said one thing about Global that I cannot show strong evidence of, and I'll continue to call them out. But most of Steve's responses to me are not constructive. They're personal attacks and largely untrue.

Steve

Personal Attacks should be avoided at all costs here on your site,

That goes for all of us.....

I think we do a good job of policing ourselves here, but you never know when a flare up will begin.

Best just to keep it professional, and to stay the course of helping out other members with authenticity issues when we can.

Steve,

The claims about me you published here were meant to scare me away from talking about Global Authentics and don't really warrant a response. I'm responding since you put them out there and they're unlikely to ever go away. Thank you for that. However you must tell me who gave you this information or how you got it.

There are three rights of passage in a Jewish male's life: His Briss, his Bar Mitzvah and his first trip to the psychiatrist. My first trip was in the early 1990s, because I was having problems that turned out to be ADD-related (attention deficit disorder). That's when I met Dr. Robert Linden. And although I haven't seen Dr. Linden since the late 1990s, I still deal with ADD and related issues every day.

So you got me good. I'm humiliated...you've destroyed me. Until now, I doubt anyone in the autograph hobby ever questioned my sanity.

Regarding your claims that I have Avoidant Personality Disorder: I have a few traits of it, but I don't recall ever being diagnosed. If I really had it I couldn't have started this website, that's for sure. But it's not what you described. APD is basically the clinical name for extreme shyness (here's a link).

What you described in your paragraph above starting with "Adults with this disorder..." is not APD. They're symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder, which I don't have. And thank heaven I don't...it's one nasty disorder.

Why did you do that, Steve? You've really got some explaining to do.

Everyone: I'm sorry, but I had to respond to his accusations or some will assume I agree with them.

Elvis has left the building!

Since we are talking Elvis, I was wondering what you folks thougfht of this.  I traded for this years ago from the former president of an Elvis fan club in Florida.  She used to send Elvis gifts while he was stationed in Germany and sent them return recpeipt so she could get his signature on the postal recepit back to her.  It looks pretty good to me, but one never knows when it comes to Elvis!

I like the signature. I'm not that familiar with Elvis's numerals and didn't check. The date could have been written by the mail carrier, though.

The date was obviously written by someone either in the military or from Europe. Though I would lean toward the military as in Europe most '7' sevens and drawn with a line through them so as to differentiate it from a '1' (one).

It's probably Military Mail, Michael, which is much less than regular INTL mail.

I wasn't around in 1959 but if the USPS was then like it is now many employees are ex-military so no surprise. If it happens to actually be Elvis' hand writing that might make sense too as we all know he was drafted in 1958.

Signature looks great,

IMHO an authentic Elvis Signature

Did you see this one, Bob? No question A-OK from Roger and Eddie, but was tough for me: http://live.autographmagazine.com/forum/topics/elvis-presley-autograph

Hey Steve...

I have seen this style of his signature before. IMHO it is authentic.

A quick glance at the "To" which looks like a "2" will throw you off at first, not what most of us are used to seeing in that inscription.
