Fake charity items from PSA Productions.....Jordan, Lebron, DiMaggio, Ted Williams, Aaron Rogers, etc.

I mentioned this here last year and nobody responded. There is a company here in Phoenix called Mountainside Fitness, to which I belong. They are again setting up a charity auction from a company called PSA Productions run by a guy, Jim Johnson (pretty sure that is his name). They set up inside the health club and have bidding sheets. Just about everything is fake, with the exception of a PSA Magic and Bird and a JSA Cincinnati Reds signed photo with Rose, Bench.

All of the fake items are certified by GA, yes, Steve Sipe. Everything is elaborately matted and framed to throw off any suspicion.

The banners at the tables all have large PSA lettering so it appears that PSA is the company offering the goods, when in fact it is someone taking advantage of the PSA name recognition.

I of course asked to speak with the general manager. No surprise, he isn't available. They offer me their corporate number, nobody answers and they ask you to leave a message. Again, no surprise, no return phone call. This really p***** me off. I went up to every person I saw looking at the items and warned them to not bid. My first inclination was to write "fake signature" on the bidding sheets. My daughter talked me out of it, because she thinks we will get kicked out.

They were offering Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Lebron James, Aaron Rogers, Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams, and Ted Williams. Just about every item was around $400 in the bidding.

Any suggestions? I was thinking about contacting the local newspaper, not really sure of anyone cares besides us. If you live in Arizona and have a Mountainside Fitness near you, go in and see if they have the same set up. Maybe if more people called to complain, they would do something.

I suspect Brett is not just a friend of someone that uses PSA auctions....if he's not associated directly with the company he most likely informed them of this forum thread...within an hour of a link being posted to the photos, all the photos were broken links. now ALL photos are completely gone from the website!

What I also find most interesting is that in Brett's statement, which is copied and pasted twice, he never really says he got the items from this so called auction.

He wrote it in a fashion to lead others to believe he did, but read it again....

Not sure if anyone saw my previous post.....so I'm re-posting.  Would greatly appreciate any feedback.

I have a friend in Minnesota who runs a charity organization which has used these guys who came across this blog.  He suggested I take a look at the site as I have bought quite a few items at the auctions.  I am including some close-up images of the signatures of some of my most prized possessions and I would greatly appreciate any feedback as to whether these are authentic or not.....

No surprise at all. Some goof comes along, tries to prove a point about how horrible this site is, and how biased it is, and ends up making a fool of himself in the end for the world to see. Same tired story as Brett joins the endless list of jokers who have all tried the same stale act.

Exactly. Same thing c-shark tried to do. Come here and post a picture of an item and claim it was bought for the same forger, when it was not. He said all the items were GA or ACE, which we all know is trash.

the website seems to running, but there are no items to view.  Brett, if your game here was to try to discredit the people on this site, to add validity to those pathetic forgeries that are shown here, you failed miserably.  Anybody that is a serious collector has seen this forgery style hundreds if not thousands of times over.

crap forgeries

JDM cert - Jeffrey David Marr - owner of PSA.  This is not a coincidence.  He has those cert stickers made.  It originally stood for Jeff/David/Mark when he was going to bring on partners, but he chose that order because it's his initials in case the partnership didn't work out.  Which it didn't.  If you guys knew what I knew about this place, you would not feel bad for ratting him out.  Brett either has no idea what he's talking about or he's blatantly protecting a crook.

Looks like photo links are back and working again...

They removed the photos again but it doesn't matter. I have seen examples of the Mantles from the pics you showed in person at some of their charity auctions. I am not great with Mantle, but IMO the ones in the pics you posted are forgeries.

All of the thumbnails have now been removed as well.  Zero Mantles are in stock on a search.  Last night there were 18.

I had saved the search of Mantle last night, hoping this works ... here is the pdf of that - 18 Mantles in the search last night.

Attachments: No photo uploads here

Many of those I can tell are forgeries just by looking at the thumbnail!
