No doubt this is fake, I mean besides being childish it is clearly signed with a silver sharpie which did not even exist until after Kurt's death. Let save some poor guy $600 dollars (so far) and report the crap out of this item and get it removed!!!! It ends on 4 days.

yes paint pens have, but not silver sharpies. And i agree with the post on the previous page. This was signed in silver sharpie, not paint pen
you never even saw it!!! how can you say sharpie or not? and we are the ignorant??? lol man i don't know even why i am wasting my time when "suddenly" after i took it off i am getting offers in emails to sell it for less??? lol you think people are that stupid??
what you trying to do is on the border of FRAUD people..!!!!
I promise you one thing: this guitar will never sell less then 10k!! you keep your "sharpie" and PSA b.s. i got not one BUT 2.. Authentics on that, so what i can say? to get another one?? maybe i will just because i am straight in business and like to show it to few clowns in here.
Just one thing: professional people will never judge by picture alone, you will have to see it in person, like the other companies did.
SECOND: the picture can show same signatures like those who sell with any authentic certificate, anybody can look by himself and compare..and be the judge of that..
AND last thing: I think its wrong what you doing here in this blog, you trying to do what? buy stuff for cheep price? one of you contact me in that email trying to offer me to get it.. hope somebody will shut you down soon. And for the others that follow: stop being so dumb a****!!! you serving the dark side.. ;)
What we have here folks, is a textbook crooked seller. He at first was told it was fake so much that he had to put up a disclaimer in his auction due to all the legitimacy questions. Then he was exposed on this site and was the first to tout the 2 COA excuse. When it was brought to his attention that the 2 companies who certed that guitar are 2 of the most notorious in the industry, he didnt care one bit. A COA is a COA to him. Yet if he did any research he would no better. And apparently, since he knew of PSA, he had some knowledge about who the players are in the industry. Piece of the Past is one of the top offenders out there, and there is tons of info on them on the net about authenticity concerns. Which is obviously where the guitar came from, as piece of the past dont authenticate items that you can send in to the best of my knowledge. We all know about GA here, but i am even shocked they certed this, as ITS THAT BAD!!!
This is a fairly bad forgery, and its fooling no one. Nor is your story about members from this site contacting you to try and buy it off of your for less. The only time that would ever be true, is if piece of the past spent the money to buy a very expensive guitar to put that nasty forgery on. But thats not the case. Why dont you name the so called member here who offered to buy it off you??? We will be waiting on that.
You said at one time you were seriously considering sending the guitar to PSA to authenticate but they wanted to much, so you were given another alternative. For 7 bucks you could get a quick opinion from PSA, and when you were told it failed, you now suddenly dont care about PSA. Thats convenient.
As far as paint pen vs. Sharpie. Really its very obvious, and 99 percent of the time you dont need the item in hand to see the difference. Paint pens flow different than a Sharpie. And this was signed in silver sharpie. If you actually did any research on the forgery you are selling, you could find that out in little time. But if you put any research into it at all, you would have known it was a forgery from the get go, and never would have purchased it.
And of course you are getting into the argument of how can anyone tell via a picture, yotta yotta yotta. What do you think authenticators do?? obvious forgeries are obvious forgeries. If your item was debatable, then you would need to send it in to a legit TPA for a proper examination. But its not debatable. Its fake. No one from this site offered you anything, we arent that stupid.
Now as for ebayers, i have no doubts that there are some suckers out there who would buy it from you. I could scribble some beatle forgeries out tonight, and put them on the bay, and if they didnt get yanked by an EMR, then they would sell. Probably for hundreds, maybe even thousands. Autograph buyers on ebay are some of the worst out there. They want items to be real so bad from the big bands and deceased players, that they will bid on anything.
You really are making yourself look all the worse on here. But thats okay, the more responses you give, the higher up your ebay name will come in any search results on google.
The name of the guy that send me the email is

Dear lindseyoceanside, i think about it - thebestfloorcare
|
Dear thebestfloorcare, I see your note on cancelling the auction if you do not get $2,000 well you might as well stop it now it will never happen signed on the pick guard I know what I am talking about I own approx 80 guitars - lindseyoceanside
|
Dear lindseyoceanside, of course it wood.. and thats the reason this is authentic! Kurt And the band didn't like to sign on guitars, in here they signed the pickup that was disassembled from the guitar and that whats proofs its authentic, Dont forget piece of paper worth about $5,000 with the band signed, this is still something we can hang on the wall and admire.. - thebestfloorcare
|
Dear thebestfloorcare, I can only wish but this would be worth a ton more if it were signed on the guitar body itself instead of the pick guard signing the pick guard means that it was added to the guitar at a later time and many collectors like to have the performer hold the guitar and sign the body pick guard signing meant that Kurt sat down and was paid x number of dollars to sign them probably several hundred but still very cool just thought that you would like to know Have a great day! - lindseyoceanside

i was only responding fair and square, you should force them to change the title, its not a fact so at the least put / add question mark!
you should protect the interest of the users here.. you not better then they are if you don't, this post at the least should have question mark!
Why should it have a question mark. These are forgeries!!! You have been shown proof of that. The pen that signed these didnt even come out until 2004. Did Cobain come back from the dead to sign it?? But thats beside the point, the Dave signature is a bad forgery, and the Cobain is not his style for the time period. Often Nirvana sigs are hard to authenticate, but this isnt. These are fakes. Have you even googled piece of the past to see what there rep is????
You can do forum searches on this site. Just type in the words you are looking for and you will find many threads. Steve Sipe used to be a member here until recently and would ocassionally make posts in defense when being called out. He left recently b/c he was spreading lies about a company and the company owner called him on it, and he left (per Steve Cyrkin). But you know what would happen when GA was called out on many forgeries certed??? If Sipe responded he would respond with 2 answers. The most common was that a staff member certed the items, and after we exposed them here on this site, that staff member was disciplined or fired. You know how many times he used that excuse?? It boggles the mind. The other excuse was that this site was full of members with slanted views who were trying to hurt his company to promote PSA. He kept trying to associate Steve Cyrkin with PSA b/c in the past, Steve Cyrkin used to help PSA with coin authentication. by Cyrkins own admission, he has never had autograph dealings with PSA when it comes to business. Sipe used this coin authentication to then say that this site was owned by PSA/DNA. Yet, every single week, there are threads about forgeries PSA has certed.
So now i have given you more material to research and draw your own conclusions. If you take the time to do this, which you refuse to do, you will find out that the members here arent out to get you. We are out to get the forgery removed. Get your money back from piece of the past. We could even help you do that. But continuing to deny its a forgery, when it is, is making you look worse and worse.
But lets put this silver sharpie thing to bed. I could be completely wrong, and those sigs could be signed in silver paint pen. Id be shocked if they were, but its possible. Why not take a close up picture of the sigs on the pickguard that we can zoom in on to put it to rest. If its silver sharpie, youll know its fake right then and there. If not, at least you can use that in your defense
Lol, let me guess, that little birdie was Steve Sipe. My guess is, he saw his cert and name associated with this forgery and tried to jump in to try and come up with some defense. Did staff member 100,508 cert this one STeve?? Is that the excuse on this one??? Or maybe its due to slanted views on this site again??? LOL. You can address me by either name that you wish, as they are both my names. Carl Ryan just happens to be my middle name and what i go by on a day to day basis. So if you think that you somehow are bothering me, well then think again. Use either you prefer. And as for PSA owning this site, i know of only one man who likes to throw those lies around........cough.........cough......Sipe. Steve Cyrkin owns this site who doesnt have any connection with PSA at all, by his own admission. If you would also take the few minutes to research PSA and JSA as they relate to this site, you would find out numerous things. But you didnt even take the time to research your own forgery guitar, so why would you take the time at all. If you searched the forum, you would find that forgeries certed by PSA and JSA are posted here frequently. I can pull up a couple dozen threads and link to them of just in the last 2 months if youd like. And by your own admission, you were thinking of using PSA to authenticate your item to get max value but didnt b/c of the price asked. So that would indicate you like there brand. So if this site was owned by them, wouldnt you just love to be here??
Why would the members here care one little bit about what some random ebay user sent you???? In my statement above, i openly told you that there would no doubt be some dope who would want to buy it. Anything Nirvana will always sell, even crappy forgeries like the one your trying to sell. What you stated, was that a member from this site tried to contact you to buy the guitar. And when questioned on that, you produced some ebay messages of some random ebay user sending you offers. Thats pretty funny stuff. Please now furnish the user from this site who wanted to buy it, lie you said?
You see there are a few people in the autograph industry that this site exposes over and over and over again. GAI, Drew Max, Chris Morales, and many others are just to name a few. They know what they are doing to the hobby. And one of the hallmarks of an ebay seller who is crooked and knows they are selling forgeries, is they start communicating with these people via sites like autograph alert, autographnewslive, etc. When we are mentioned on sites like this in a negative light, its a badge of honor, b/c we are hurting the pockets of those who we want too.
Your item has been exposed as a common forgery. And your ebay name just keeps getting bumped higher and higher up on any google search. I can continue exposing the fallacies in your statements as long as you would like. No one is going to change the title to this thread. You have been warned time and time again and shown proof this items is fake (silver sharpie, etc).
You can think you are knowing what you talking about, i will continue with my life and you can look for one for yourself.. just i wish people like you with your shady business will be in the place they should be (jail?) i got the item through Ebay! i got 2 authenticity certificates and NUMBER of offers on the table from $1500 and above.. just dont want to sell it less then 5k. wish you all happy life with wasting time with losers. wish you will search before you give opinions, this is AUTHENTIC item that was bought from power seller with more than 5000 positive feedbacks! 99.8%! i searched and there are more like my signture in GRAY marker!!! so you need to check your facts guys
your "warning" to others should be turds yourself, i will bet with you on any amount you got very bad reputation in this business like the others that do the same.. my name on the other end, is 100% in any business.. my word is good and the items i owned! i got roger waters and such that have autentency certificats by PSA and b.t.w same year in GRAY!! what do you know..
Painful arguing with an illiterate idiot operating on a 3rd grade writing level. His comprehension level not much higher.
Guy wants to sell forgeries. Painfully obvious. He got suckered and was stupid enough to buy it so why not rip off somebody else?
What a ridiculous response. What business am i running there chief???? Last time i checked, logging onto a public forum wasnt running a business. If by business, you mean exposing forgeries, then yes, i will try my best to run my business.
Doesnt matter if you bought it through piece of the past or got it off ebay. It obviously came from them. And you got ripped off. The question is will you rip others off now that you know?? Answer:: you already answered. of course you will.
You do realize that the marker you are referring to (grey) is known as a silver sharpie right?? lol, make yourself look even worse. Your item was signed after Cobains death.
Who cares if you have a PSA certed Roger Waters. I thought you and Sipe had a conversation in which PSA was deemed evil, and this site was run by PSA. Why would you own a PSA certed Waters if us PSA people are evil. And if you have a PSA Waters, you obviously know that PSA and JSA are the key players in the game. Of course you would have gotten the quick opinion, but you knew it would fail.
Dont worry, we will continue to expose the forgery though
