With all the chaos in the world I figured I’d share a story. My dad was on a business trip in 93 in Houston,I’m young so I can’t remember exact details but he comes home with my favorite basketball players autograph and says yea ran into him at a restaurant and had him sign this. Dad says, what a great gift my son will cherish this forever and Hakeem said to my father oh your son thinks I’m the best center in the NBA? Father replied oh yeah, he says ah no I’m not but now; I have to work harder and be the best center ever. Anyways here’s the shadow box I built for it. RIP Dad i

Correction it may of been 94-95... I was 6 or 7, going to send it to Beckett so I can have an extra loa piece to display next to the shadow box. Taking this one to the grave... So to speak... I hope everyone is healthy and well!

That is cool your father was able to get his autograph for you. I bet it made Hakeem feel good with his comments. As a kid collecting starting lineups I wanted a Hakeem more than Michael Jordan or Larry Bird. I thought his name was so cool.
