Hi James.

I can relate to your multiple posts.  It sucks to spend money on something you love and then hear that it is not authentic.  This forum is full of discussions that end in disappointment (but also full of generous experts, great knowledge and genuine support).

I found the below discussion helpful in pursuing remedies.  Not every seller will stand behind their guarantees but some may surprise you if you take action.  Good luck and rest assured you are not the first to be going through this.  Hope this helps.

I am so thankful for you guys. It's been a few years since I bought these because I posted some others and they were fake and I had a bit of money tied up in them...I was a bit scared. But it's been so long now that I have forgotten how much I actually spent on them, so it's a little easier...I mainly stick to Topps autos, now. I know they can be faked, too, but I guess I'll take my chances. I collect background characters mostly. My 2 biggest would be Ray Park and Billy Dee. I'm probably messing up there, too....

The past is the past.  I have been weeding the bad out from the good among items I bought more than twenty years ago (before forums and resources like this existed).  However, I have seen this forum used very effectively to get opinions PRIOR to buying an item.  There are also experts who offer quick opinion services which may be worthwhile depending on what you are looking for.

Good luck and keep enjoying the pursuit of authentic items you love.
