I am interested in learning who is dealer/seller of forensically certified memorabilia. Anyone who collects or sells music/sports memorabilia with letters of authenticity from court certified forensic document examiners would be greatly appreciated!

Hope everyone is having a great day.

I have never seen an autograph that SOB didn't authenticate

Assuming the inquiry is sincere, there are three major points:

1. As Chris notes, FDE's generally don't authenticate autographs.  If they did, the extensive work involved would make their services cost prohibitive for all but the most high end autographs.

2. There's a reason the top collectors and auction houses use the authenticators they do...and not available FDE's.  Their actions come from positions of knowledge.  The marketplace speaks volumes.

3. Look at the major widely-reported instances of fraud in the past few years...where items were seized by law enforcement.  Many of the items involved had COA's from FDE's.

FDE authentication may be viewed as a trap for the unknowing.  It sure sounds good, doesn't it?  But just because someone is permitted to testify in court doesn't mean that person really knows what he or she is doing.  That's a matter for cross-examination.

The best autograph authenticators are only as good as their experience and their databases.

I have never seen a set of autographs from a "Forensic examiner" to be the real deal...don't waste your time!

Do you trust JSA & PSA/DNA?

Depends on the signature. They authenticate anything and anybody. There are some signatures where I would trust my own judgement or that of some fellow members over any tpa. Fde are useless with regards to autograph authentication.
