Check out this simply putrid-looking and laughable Mickey Mantle forgery on a baseball "authenticated (cough, cough)" by Stephen Rocchi and his Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators group.
This is so laughable it's sickening.
The only people who buy and sell crap like this are people who know ZERO about autographs and scammers.
There is no gray area here.
It's sickening because this GFA-certed crap continues to infect our autograph hobby.
Forged inscriptions also lure the Ebay wannabe autograph collectors and suckers to an auction like with the "No 7" inscription.
The below ugly Mickey Mantle forgery on a baseball is listed by Ebay seller Gofsu2010.

Here's a "500 Homerun Club" set of forgeries listed by Ebay seller Gofsu2010 with a worthless COA from Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators.

Every day I watch beautiful and authentic Mickey Mantle and Joe DiMaggio autographs sell for less than that GFA-certed crap; and sometimes those same authentic Mickey Mantle and Joe DiMaggio autographs don't receive any bids at all.
It's a freaking disgusting!!!
And much of it IS Ebay's fault. They allow this crap to continue.
GFA (Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators) should be on EBay's Banned COA List.
Forensically Examined!!!
What a joke!!!
Anyone who believes that is a total moron.
It's not strange that not one of the hundreds of buyers and sellers of this crap can come here and defend this garbage.
That's because they either know ZERO about autographs or they're scammers.
what surprises and concerns me more than anything else is the apathy, it seems no one cares. Where is the anger?
I'm not surprised, Terrier.
I really don't think anyone is afraid, but collectors know that, except for this forum, we are powerless to do anything.
Ebay doesn't care, and as a matter of fact, they profit from the sales of GFA-certed forgeries.
Law enforcement has more important issues to address and take care of.
It's sad, but true.
For me, I will continue to expose sellers of forgeries, and especially those certed by Stephen Rocchi and John Goraczyk and their Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators group.
Ebay seller Gofsu2010 sold his Mickey Mantle forgery with the inscription "No 7" for $375.00.
I have no doubt the dopey buyer will flip this crap thinking he got a "steal."
