Condition, especially on an album will make all the difference. I agree with many of the points that you made, but comparing that album to a heavily worn Prince album doesn't really work. Just as a for instance, I have been collecting for decades, in that time I don't think I have seen 50 authentic Prince items. His authentic signature on a napkin can likely bring thousands of dollars. Locked up in my collection right now I have 75+ George Lucas, 50+ John Williams and nearly 150 Harrison Fords. I don't own a single Prince autograph. The level of rarity of the signature will always trump the condition of any item it is signed on. Sure in a perfect world, everything that comes to market would be minty fresh signatures on minty fresh items, but we live in this world. Patience is the best play here.....find the item you love, at the price you need, in the condition you want.....then make a purchase. Jumping quickly at one item, because another didn't pan out, isn't always the best course of action.

Comparing the two album's (Prince & Jedi) conditions and pointing to the value they reached at auction, just doesn't work. Forget comparing apples and oranges, you are comparing apples and bars of gold.

I agree with what you're saying. There's no getting around it; condition is very important. And yes, Prince is very rare, so collectors are looking at whatever they can get their hands on within reason. You speak with the wisdom of Yoda!

Hello from the new guy. I have an autographed picture I got at an auction about 5 years ago. Signed by Hamill, Ford, Guiness and Mayhew. Guiness signature is dated 1994. This my prize possession so I hope it is genuine. If not I will be heart broken but still keep it on my wall. I did a lot of researching the autographs and IMO they are genuine but I'm no expert or even close. (Fingers crossed)

Sorry Darth. None of the 4 were signed by who should have signed them.

Ok thanks. I was so sure too especially the Alec. Oh well still looks good on my wall.

I really hope you didn't pay the going rate for a real one. Even 5 years ago that would have been about $2k

God help us no

There are exactly 2 ways to buy a Daisy autograph, that's it, no more, just 2.

You buy one from someone who you can trust with your family's lives, or you buy one that comes with a PSA DNA ITP COA.

Pretty simple.
