I have a collection of 90 autographed HOF'er-signed baseballs in my collection. Back in the mid-90's, I had my collection authenticated by GAI. I felt that it would add to the collection to have them all authenticated by one company. At the time, I lived in SOCAL and GAI and PSA were the goto companies. Now I have a nice collection with GAI stickers on every ball and GAI has fallen into disfavor. Any advice as what to do with these balls?? I am confident that the balls are good since many were obtained from reputable dealers, shows, and players through the mail. I am now retired and can't spent another $2000 to get them re-authenticated. Opinions, please.

How do you plan to sell them? You may be better off consigning the group to a reputable auction house and letting them handle it. Then you don't need to worry about getting them re-authenticated.

You're right though... put them on ebay one at a time with a GAI sticker and you're going to take a bath. From what I saw in the other thread, your material looks good.

Thanks, Steve. Any suggestions for an auction house? Heritage says there's not enough value for them to handle! They only want balls worth $3000 each.

Yeah... not surprising, The big sports auction houses only want rare and high end stuff.

Try RR Auction or Sig Auctions. Both are reputable.

I have no benefit from referring you, but in full disclosure, I authenticate space material for them.
