Most of the autographs I've seen of Gary Cooper, he signed his first name with a lower-case "g." Did he ever use an upper-case "G"?

I know Clark Gable switched between using a lower-case "g" and upper-case "G" for his last name. I don't if he did it arbitrarily.

I think Gary Cooper changed his writing style of the G over the years. I have this signed card from 1928 and I think it looks more like an upper-case G.

Interesting.

I don't recall seeing exemplars of Cooper using what we would usually identify as a classic upper-case "G".  Perhaps others have.

As far as Gable, didn't he usually sign legal documents (contracts, checks, etc.) with the upper-case "G" &  lower-case for autographs?  Here's a release granting rights for the use of his reproduced signature where he uses the upper-case "G" for the legalize and the lower-case "g" for what he wants to be reproduced:

That is absolutely correct.

Amazing piece that you posted,Etienne!

Cannot say about Coop, sorry.
