Hi - I decided that I would like to buy a Grateful Dead concert bill/poster.

I found a few on ebay that I like. One specifically is from 1990 and is advertised as original and looks legit. The seller is highly rated and has a huge selection of old concert posters..

The price is what I consider reasonable - under $300.i have seen similar posters listed for over 1000.

Maybe those were rip offs and this is reasonable? Or maybe this one is a scam? Are there forgeries for old concert posters like there are for autographs? Any way I can try to protect myself?

Thanks,!

Member John Shaw knows a great deal about vintage Rock posters - message him, leave a not on his wall, or send a friend request with a message in it.

Thanks. I sent him a note. I checked some websites and saw lists of posters that are often advertised as originals, but actually reproductions, and I couldn't find this one listed anywhere. It seems like it would be difficult to tell. Is an eBay seller rating a good way to judge this sort of thing at all?

post a link also I might have it for sale

there are more forgeries for concert posters than autographs and with the invention of kinkos it worse and now u can print them at home u really need to know what ur doing and marker price.
