I don't like it.

I don’t like it either. For a reference point there is an authentic Harper Lee signature in the signed books section on BarnesandNoble.com.

Thanks everyone for your valued opinions. Can you please contrast it to this next picture.  

There are similar examples like your second one in the archives of U.S. auction houses...even in the same blue ink pen.  If you will notice in looking at those, they haven't historically sold for much (relatively speaking).   Are these neat and tidy signatures secretarial?  I tend to think so.

Contrast them with the one that Nick references.
