Great response, Joe. I wish you luck in your quest for an authentic Harrison Ford autograph - its a shame you can't get one through OPX as they are doing a signing soon and that'd be a guaranteed authentic piece.

Is there nothing you could sell memorabilia or otherwise to raise the necessary funds for Harrison Ford? I must admit I got all excited when OPX did their signing in 2011, I really didn't expect to be successful.

Anyways, good luck to you Joe and you will get your Ford, one way or another.

Thanks. Patience generally wins in the end. And if not, life goes on. I really don't collect but a handful of living celebrities. I prefer vintage. But, I've not been able to acquire an Audrey Hepburn yet either. Been doing this on and off for many years and until this year I never owned a Cary Grant either. But, got two now. And I thought at times it would never happen. Good karma happens sometimes when you least expect it.

You could certainly do an exchange on at least one Cary Grant to raise funds for a genuine Ford through OPX - Cary Grant must be worth a bit, for sure. Maybe exchange is the way to go to get the funds and get yourself a nice, authentic piece through OPX.

Robin, that idea would work and I appreciate your input. Although when I compare the available Grant signatures to Harrison Ford signatures; Grant is far fewer. Patience has always paid off for me in the past so, at least for the moment, I'll wait. Took me a number of years to obtain certain autographs which adds to the thrill of the hunt.

I am asking for a full refund. If this Eastwood is questionable, there is no point of the added trouble to return it again

If a refund isnt given, the Ford will be thrown out and Ill cough it up as a loss. The discussion will stay up for transparency.

Thanks for all of the help

I understand, I hope Garry Harvey does the honorable thing and refunds your money.

Hopefully, Ian.  If not, it is not a worry.  Live and learn.  I will do my best to help collectors avoid a similar experience.

plus one. I also wouldn't go for the eastwood if you are forced to have an exchange.

Agreed, Michelle. It made me very suspicious that he will only do an exchange. Doesnt add up

After discrepancies with regard to the Eastwood signature involved in the exchange arose, I mentioned sending it to PSA and then simply asking for a monetary refund to end this saga.  Here is what Gary Harvey had to say, the bottom pic is response to my email in the first scan.  I am posting these emails so I can share my experience as a customer with Gary Harvey's autograph business.  Based on mixed feelings about the Eastwood's authenticity, I am not doing an exchange and will just destroy the Ford if a monetary refund isn't given

So if we're not authorized and psa and jsa aren't authorized then who is? Haha this guy is a joke.

Honestly, I am beginning to feel as if he knew the Ford was questionable (to say the least).  He would have no problem selling the Ford if it is truly authentic.  The price he charged me several years ago- $160- would be easily attainable if it is truly authentic.  Still no mention of the dealer he bought it from either.  Can't make stuff like this up!
