The scan isn't great, but does this Ford autograph look authentic?  Sold by Gary Harvey

He also lied to you about how he obtained it. He knows it's bad, he knew it was bad when he sold it to you, and that's why no ones opinion matters, because everyone will say it's fake.

I recommended him to get it authenticated.  I replied to this email asking for acknowledgment of a monetary refund and who this "top authenticator" is. He is mentioning have the AFTAL authenticate.

I also don't know why he wouldn't take it back. He could double his money easily if he was so convinced it was good.

He wants me to do an exchange only.  I am suspicious of this.  Either way, if authentic, like you said he could get double his money.  So I dont understand why a monetary refund is a problem

Gary still insists that it be an exchange, and mentions that if this nameless (doesnt seem to want to tell me his name) authenticator finds the Ford to be not authentic, he will tear it up.  I could do that myself.  I will only return it to him if I get my money back. My reply is the the top of this scan, which he hasn't replied to yet

Hi Joe

For some reason I can't reply but I still feel if you could trade/sell one of your Grants, that'll go a long way to getting a Ford - I mean, would you want multiple Grants when you can diversify and have some of each and then you'd get Ford which might come out as a slightly less rare option but nevertheless, you'd still have your Ford. Cary Grant is an excellent acquisition.

Congratulations.

I am after some Episode VII autographs but the prices are a lot of money and I can't afford those sorts of prices right now.

Best, Robin

Good news! Gary told me he found out that the Harrison Ford is likely not authentic, so he'll give you a full refund by PayPal when he receives it.

Nice work Steve.

Thanks again to Steve for helping this situation come to a conclusion.  I am going to send back his Ford and I will post on this thread when I receive a refund.  Thanks for all the support from everyone here and Steve

Thanks, but Gary contacted me. Rapport had gone downhill between the parties so he asked me to help.

Would like to update this for transparency's sake in case anyone decides to purchase from Gary Harvey in the future.  After a very long wait and (mainly due to the kind intervention by Steve Cyrkin), Gary agreed to issue a full refund once I returned the piece to Steve; who then destroyed the Harrison Ford autograph

He refunded $120 out of the $160 I purchased the piece for originally.  It has been a month of trying to get Gary to refund the full amount by both Steve and myself, so I will continue to wait for him to respond to emails/Paypal requests.

Anyways, I am extremely thankful for everyone's help and especially Steve Cyrkin.  Without Steve, I would have likely not received any refund amount from Gary Harvey.   Big thanks to Steve!

Happy to help, Mike. Gary wrote me a few hours ago thru Facebook and said he was in Asia and just got back. He didn't know there was a problem with the amount. He said that you asked for $120 refund.

Check your communications and get back to me by PM tomorrow and we'll discuss.
