Thanks Joe.. it's a strange one..this guy has a book of 24 photos. Most signed.. One signed Frankie...(Sinatra).. Dean Martin.. Jerry Lewis. Most signed to Mick..I couldn't find a Judy where she signed the "to' like that..
I'm in the UK so I'd be surprised if it was secretarial... I'm stumped..
.. He worked at a well known theatre..I can tell all are not fake.. They have long passages of writing.. what about this Frank?
Actually, I like this Sinatra. It's different but it looks genuine.
Here is a signature study of Judy. The "To" doesn't bother me although I don't like the overall signature of Judy's. Don't believe it is a standard secretarial, maybe someone signed it "backstage" for her?
It does look great..im worried about the Judy.. Frank looked ok.. The others do too.. I need the Judy to be ok for the purchase..I think you might be right about someone in the dressing room.. He was the stage manager though and would have had access to her..
I do not like that "Judy" at all.
I have a sheet of her handwriting from C. 1955 but can't locate the scan at the moment. For now, here is typical "To" and her signature from C. 1954, the premier of The Man with the Golden Arm, or perhaps A Star is Born (2nd premiere). See her hand. I'd have to look and see what Scott Schecter wrote me about her hair and clothes. From the Grace Cunningham Collection of TV candids. Her hand was very very light with ballpoint (this I show is fountain under better circumstances) - and in the OP the "Judy" is the slowest/darkest...
