It would be much appreciated if someone with a good database of George HW Bush signatures could look at this auto for me. There seems to be some stutter in the bottom loop of G which could be expected of a man with Parkinsons. At the end of each line it definitely seems like there is live ink lifting. At the end of Bush you can see some overlapping which can be easier seen in the overexposed photo. Thanks so much!

In my opinion, this signature has traits characteristic with an Autopen. As you noted, you can see the subtle machine "chugging" effect prominently at the bottom of the G... it's also prominent at the bottom of the B, but it is present throughout the entire signature.

Tremors would not be that fine and consistent in my opinion.

I appreciate it. I'm still really hoping that it's still authentic. The G was the main worry for me. I had never seen this photo with autopen or this autopen format so I still have some hope.

When was it signed?

I'm not sure. It was a gift from a family member.
