I bought it from a person that lives close by. He said he attended a sports memorbelia auction a few years back around the Memphis area and bought this and a uniform with a signature and other things. I purchased this from him. He told me the name of the people who owned the things and said they had been collecting for years. I could probably facebook him and ask who owned this if that would help.
William, I really think you would have to see this one in person to be able to make a determination

The Ruth esp. bothers me.
I'm saying no
There is not a label that I can find. The material is like an old flour sack if your old enough to remember that or soft cotton liner.
You can also think of a little kid having his uniform with a plain shirt and striped pants going to yankee stadium and taking the piece of clothing that looked like the players uniforms. I dont like the E at the end of Babe but Other then that I think its pretty good
I would like to know what auction house this came from. Must be some paperwork somewhere.
Im trying to find that out now. He said it's been awhile and forgot but could find out for me.
The ladies name that had the estate sale was Colburn and at one time she owned a large antique store in West Memphis. She now lives in Osceola, Ar
This is what I got. Mrs. Colburns husband passed away and in time had an estate sale for his personal Sports memorabilia/collection. He collected sports items when they had the antique store in Memphis area. He doesn't know if Mrs. Colburn is still alive anymore.
