Is this Mantle baseball sig real? Helping a friend w/ cancer raise money. neep help

Ok so my friend gave me this huge box of old cards and stuff I told him I would go through for him because he has a friend who is dealing with some huge medical bills and he was going to buy everything from him that was real but he wasn't sure about the Mantle ball because of the reason most novist collectors are (there are a lot of fakes) It looks real to me and there is a Scoreboard cert with it but I know you guys won't BS me on its authenticity. There were like 5 other balls who were probably Braves players that were ruined and I Cant make out names and the one that would be able to read I can't tell who it is. Well here is a pic of the ball and the cert. I would really appreciate you guys help and if it's real awesome if not it's no big deal.

thanks everyone for your help. It's always appreciated!

Both are real nice. Good luck

thanks, got them for $400 but gave him an extra $100 for some cards and some worthless balls IMO that he wanted to throw in (basically no deal on the other stuff if I didn't buy that stuff but it all worked out IMO..also there were two limited edition Mickey Mantle plates that are pretty cool...not my thing but I'm a Mick and Yankee fan so it's all good.

If anyone is interested in trading a Jeter auto (a real one) for the Mantle Plaque or perhaps a Perez postcard I have signed in 1990 by Mickey that is real nice (slabbed and authenticated by PSA/DNA)  I'd like to add a Jeter ball to my collection. I'm in the ATL area. I have a Jeter auto but it's on a baseball card (Upper Deck Signature Stars) I have a Chipper Jones just like it.

I am glad it ended up working out for the both of ya!!

I doubt anyone here is gonna give up a jeter though per recent announcments.

I know... an already grossly overpriced signature will get even more overpriced.

Nothing against Jeter, but his autograph is about as common as dirt... no way, no how worth the crazy Steiner prices on the secondary market.

I agree Zipper I picked my recent jeter up for 100 bucks side paneled and that is where I am at. Apparently he is signing a lot for people and for dealers even..

The other thing I forgot to mention is, that with Steiner, they use that weak light blue ink that has a tendency to essentially evaporate after a few years. Paying through the nose for terrible quality signatures.

I'd be willing to trade my Jeter ball for something.

so you could cut it??

something I should know? lol

like what and do you have a pic of the ball ? I've never done a trade over the internet, where are you from? how is this normally done the right way?  others can chime in about trading over the net on this site.
