Hello everyone,

I thought id ask the community what they thought about these autographs. I really dont collect sports autographs, so i am not that knowledgeable. I am one of those people who look at a picture of a horrible mantle forgery and dont see much of a difference between that and a real one. But im sure with experience, that knowledge comes.

In any event, i ll start with the mantle. This was purchased many years ago by my parents, I am 27 now and i believe my parents got it for me when i was around 8 to 10 years old. Mantle was definetly alive at the time, and they bought it through a sports magazine. I am pretty sure it was from when Mantle was contracted and signing, but i am not positive. In any event i was just a kid and liked it alot, but basically it has just been sitting in a box for all these years, and i thought id ask for an honest opinion. Fakes im sure were around back then, but the ball looks to be good.

The next is a Hank Aaron that i bought last year. Im sorry for the picture quality on all of these.

The next is Pele, the soccer great. he signed his full name on this baseball, and it looks legit, but again, im not an expert.

If anyone can weigh in id appreciate it.

Thanks for viewing and have a good day

Chris

I have seen Peli autos before...but that is something I personally cant make a comment on since I really have not seen enough to know the difference...BUT....Love the Mantle...I feel that it is no question 100 % authentic...The Aaron is some what blurry but it definitely does NOT look like the run of the mill forgeries I have seen of Hamering Hank...If you can get a cleaner sharper picture of that it may be helpful...

BUT NO QUESTION THE MANTLE IS AUTHENTIC

I have never seen a Pele before so I cannot comment, but CEE GEE is right on the Mantle, even though it is a bit blurry.  As for the Aaron, it definitely shows consistency with his later signatures.  I am attaching the Aaron I have, it is on a Feeney ball, and was signed in the late 70's.  Notice how much smoother it is, when compared to his recent signatures.

Thanks everyone for the comments. Im excited to know the mantle is good. I will try and get some better pictures today.

Thanks again

Chris

I agree with above comments.

I bought three Pele signed baseballs with similar signatures to the one you have

I also bought a Pele signed shirt with a similar signature
