I obtained this autograph from a collector who knew Robert White (was mentored by White) for over 20 years. I believe it's authentic but would like your opinions. Thank you.

Makes sense. I thought something seemed a little fishy there when these 2 people kept claiming the signature was real.

There is nothing fishy about this I said to send to JSA or Herman Darvick. I also said on my last email, that if the autograph is available for the $400 range because it's a cut I would like to purchase it. $400 is about the most I would like to purchase it for because I have to resell it and make a profit. If you send it to RR they charge 20% upfront and 22% to the buyer. You would only clear 58% of the sold value.

Since percentages and percentage points are actually different things, the seller's cut of 80% of the sale price (122% including the buyer's premium) comes to (80/122)% = 65,6%, does it not?

What store is that? I'd be interested in paying a visit.

Jefferson,

I've reviewed the information Wascher gave me and your profile and Joseph D'Annunzio's. Here's what I see. I'd appreciate your response:

  1. We ask for real names when members sign up these days but we don't publish them. The email address that Joseph D'Annunzio signed up with starts with the first letter of your first name followed by the exact last name you used in your profile. Neither of which are Joseph's initials or name.

  2. You claim to be a dealer, but you only call yourself a collector in your profile. And as it said when you signed up, dealers and other industry professionals are required to identify themselves as such.

  3. Both you and Joseph D'Annunzio signed up from the same IP address. That doesn't necessarily mean you're using the same computer or logging in through the same account or the same person, but it does mean you're using the same ISP and you're not located far from each other. It's a warning sign for sure, though.

  4. You both joined same day and both think the same autograph is genuine that appears that everyone else in the discussion is quite concerned with the authenticity of.

Please explain 1 & 2.

Thanks,

Steve

Steve that is my name and I am a collector and I do resell. I am in partnership with an autograph store that sells sports memorabilia, but my partner does not want to have his name published. I gave my opinion on the autograph. I used to Authenticate many years ago, I am mostly retired now. I had offered to purchase the autograph for $400. I also suggested JSA or Heman Darvick for 3rd party authentication. Herman works with John Reznikoff another good friend of mine with impeccable reputation. I just gave my opinion, of course I would have to see the autograph to make sure it was not printed from the real one.

Oh please. Skip the "just giving an opinion" when you say you have a professional background but refuse to validate it. We're really fed up with this type of act around here.

Rich I have a background in Authentication, in my professional opinion, just like any other 3rd party Authentication company is that it is authentic. Of course it has to be inspected, it could be copied on aged paper. I had offered to purchase the item and if everything checks out I would resell it for a profit.

And you continue. Admins already noted you're using two screen names. I'd say this is not going well for you.

Rich as I pointed out to Steve, not everyone can afford a $150 to $300 PSA or JSA opinion, I have some time from time to time to give back to the community, I have also offered to purchase the item, I have not seen you offer any professional guidance, just negativity and unprofessional guesses on this item.

Jefferson,

One of the best things about Autograph Live is that collectors can get authenticity opinions on autographs without having to go to PSA/DNA, JSA or anyone else. So I applaud you giving back.

But you're apparently using two different profiles that are supporting each other's opinion. That's not right and now allowed here. And it makes you look dishonest.

Jefferson,

But why does your name match Joseph D'Annunzio's email address?
