Hi to all.

Very new to posting so forgive me if anything is a bit 'off'.  I have a John F Kennedy 'signed' book, I believe it is almost certainly a secretarial signature, but was wondering if you guys could take a look and let me know your opinions?  Also what kinda money does something like this one go for (a 'signed' book)?  Many thanks for spending your time on this:

This is a tough one. It doesn't really match any of the known secretarial signatures, the closest might be secretary #3, but it doesn't have the "stutter" that she had. But it doesn't quite match any authentic examples either. I have a JFK autograph study that lists almost 300 examples and it isn't matching up. Aspects of it match up with authentic Kennedy examples from around 1957, but the "J" is funny. Although Kennedy did sign differently all the time.

I found this on ebay.....it looks like you have a real one.

Hi James. Thank you so much for spending your time with this, it is very kind of you. Thank you also for the link, would you say this is close enough to my one to be considered genuine? (I am a complete novice and I know that JFK autographs are particularly difficult to authenticate). Thank you again. All the best, Nate.
Just looking back through eBay, mine looks remarkably similar to this one (not sure if I've pasted the hyperlink correctly, apologies if I haven't):

But I suppose the question remains as to whether either are right?

Yeah, very similar. Match almost perfect.  The guy in the link you sent wasn't certainhis  was real however it sold for almost $800, so there must be some that think it is. Usually known JFK advertised forgeries would not sell for $800. This is just difficult to say. If I were you I'd contact Andreas Weimer....he is a JFK expert. You can find his site by typing in "Andreas Weimer Autographs". He has helped me out with JFK signed stuff before, I am sure he'd be willing to give you his opinion.

Hi James. Thank you again for your time and the information you have provided, it is very kind of you. I have now contacted Mr Weimer through his website and I'll keep my fingers crossed for a reply.

Sure, no problem! Good Luck. Let me know if he gets back to you, I'd be interested to hear what he has to say.

Hi James. Have received a reply from Mr. Weimer, who has said that his opinion is this is a secretary signature and dedication, his comment was that "Kennedy's writing is smaller and not so easy to read".
I thank him and you for your help and time with this. Kind regards.

Sure, no problem. Glad to help. Sorry it wasn't better news for you.

First, you can do your own home work comparing with an original signature which is not hard to find. Check the book of Dr. Richard Saffro, I believe it a 7th edition. Also, for the reasonable fee you can ask Garry King of Autografica on his isitreal.com. You might want to contact Markus Brandes on MarkusBrandesAutographs.

If it's a real JFK it worth the stretch! With regard of the price: many details will effect it: what kind of book, condition, etc. For a proper appraisal I would suggest Markus Brandes once again.

Best of luck, Dmitri.

Can someone help me determine if the letter I have from John F. Kennedy is real?

Hello?
