Good chance that's what happened. Thankfully, my other copy made it, although DHL claimed that it was signed for by me - even though I wasn't even home - and they abandoned it on the front doorstep for me to find when I got home!

Anyone heard back about damage?

I got this over night.
It seems that this has happened in transit, we checked all books before dispatch, we're out of stock currently, and it looks unlikely an immediate replacement would be available (a matter of months).
Please could we ask for you to see if this could be rectified by a professional, such as a local framer or restorer, and we could offer compensation of 33% to cover this remedy.

This really surprised me how fast it sold out. I guess $407 US is too good of a deal for most to pass up? Or they only had a few hundred made vs the 2500 for the previous release. Maybe we should ask roughly how many were made? See if he responds next week lol..
