Looking for opinions on some Joe DiMaggio signed items. I'm hoping to pick one up for a gift and want to make sure it's a good piece. Thanks!

Sorry for resurrecting this, but saw this locally and was curious on thoughts. Thanks!

Not a fan of this one

Thanks Steve. Was leaning in that direction also but was looking for some confirmation.

Sorry to bring back an older post. But 1 more question about this item. Thanks everyone!

This one is good, assuming the ink is live and it's not a print

Thanks AC. What's the easiest way to tell if its live vs print when seeing it in person?

You'll be able to tell under close examination -- just make sure the ink isn't part of the paper. Look for differences in texture and gloss, as ink added later often appears glossier or duller than the photo surface and may sit slightly raised or smudge under light pressure.

You can also tilt the photo under a light source; added ink may catch the light differently or cast a faint shadow. Also, check for color consistency. Ink may appear more saturated or have slight bleeding at the edges compared to the printed photo.

Based on the photo you posted, I'm about 85 percent sure this is live ink. But just double check.
