Thank you to everyone. I was going to ask right after Jason's response if he wanted to add ROFL after "imo". I did not have much faith in it either however had read that Lennon's signature varied over the years and occasionally when he was in an altered state when signing something.

Don't knock me for double-checking, I have watched people sell or discard valuable pieces due to not asking questions like this. This includes collectors and dealers.

I picked up a boatload of authentic signed (rare) books, by famous people at an estate sale not long back. It was the final day of the sale, and the books had been gone through many times. The family informed me that the books were worthless, so I picked them up for a low price, taking a small risk. Each one turned out to be clean. And before that another valuable signed book (by a queen), and the estate company director insisted the signature was a fake and laughed at me when I showed her and so I purchased it for peanuts. This one I knew to be authentic but I acquired paperwork for it anyway.

When actively buying, you encounter these situations constantly whether it be signatures or another collectible, antique, etc. So if it's out of your scope, always ask if there is a platform to do so.
