He Insists they were signed on the same day Tim.

Dollars to donuts its 100% Fake

Hi Goodcat ? My friend is of excellent character and not a dealer he insists he obtained this personally and I believe Him.   what basis are you making your Judgement?   I don't Know Greg And have had no dealings with him so i cannot comment on whether has or has not sold fake Autographs but this has nothing to do with Him.

OK

who is your friend selling these?

Is it our member Nate?

And just for kicks...
I was 4 yrs old when my Mother took to me to a bar in Austria (1968) and I remember the Beatles being played (opla de opla da).  I'll never forget it. And if one of the Beatles signed an item for me, it would be more ingrained. I don't remember the bar name but that day still resonates with me.
Just saying

But maybe your friend wasn't hugely affected by music like I was... ???

I have another question

IF... John was in a bar signing and schlepping his LP, has anyone on this planet experienced this tale? This is the first I've heard of this story from anyone. Maybe I live under a rock (and yes I do at times haha), but I would think this incident would have made an impression in the world of RnR news.

I dunno... you have to prove to me this whole story is real before I even begin to believe this.

John loved the bars and he loved his privacy. Did John ever set up his kit in a bar after achieving world recognition?   Life is strange isn't it?

John was the first member to get sick of the success and the rigors of touring.

But maybe just maybe he did bang on his drums and schlepp LP's and sign them for his neighborhood fans in his local bar for a mere 5 pounds.... Jeezus it get's more funny the more I think about it

Why is this story so unbelievable? I've been to Wales on a couple of occasions. Wales has lots of notoriously remote places - the perfect locations for somebody who seeks seclusion. The kind of places where you'll find a village with about twenty cottages and one pub and nothing else around for miles except rolling hills and valleys. If Bill Murray can turn up out of the blue behind a bar and serve drinks to surprised punters at the height of his fame, then why can't John Bonham show up in a remote pub in '76 and sign some stuff?

This hobby can turn the most gullible and trustworthy soul into the most hardcore naysayer and sceptic. But when all's said and done, if the autograph looks good and the ink's right then surely that's what matters. If it's got a supercool story to go with it, even better, right?

I believe the Bill Murray story

John Bonham was a different cat

Judge.....Do you think this sig is good?

I wonder if John Shaw could shed some light on John's persona?

Goodcat, i honestly don't know. I haven't got any experience authenticating. Learning as much as possible through here though.

Fair enough Judge

But as a 30yr fan of Zep from the early 70's and watching and reading so many reports, I find this a tall tale.

Plus... I've seen this sig being schlepped in quantities

If I'm proven wrong, then I have no problem making a public apology

I'm sure that with the help and contributions from the players here, the truth will out. It usually does.

Looking at the slant of the letters making "hn" above and the opposing slant with the PSA exemplar (if genuine) and the program signature (if genuine) I am not sure I would. All I see now is that two of the three posted in my montage appear the same hand (two on the left), and the other appears more like the PSA example above in blue w/"best wishes".
