My mom gave me this a few years ago, and I was wondering what it may be worth. She got the autograph and took the pictures sometime in the 70s. The autograph is written on the back of a gum wrapper.

1600 to 2200.
Thanks! What is the best way to go about selling it?

You can try selling it on here or consign it to an auction. How much would you take for it?

The photos and autograph are from Lennon's appearance at the"Helping Hands Marathon" in Philly. This particular one was help on May 16-18, 1975. It was put on by radio station WFIL.

Lennon went outside and mingled with fans...signed autographs...and auctioned off some of his personal clothing. They raised money for local charities in the Philadelphia area.

Wow, im surprised you could tell all that from the pics. Im sure youre correct because we do live in Philadelphia. Any idea what its worth? Thanks

I've see Lennon signatures go as high as $2,500. He was the leader of the biggest band the world has ever seen. Now...he's became an historical figure as well.

Thanks for your help. Out of curiosity, how could you tell what event this was from?

I've seen Lennon signatures go as high as $2,500...

Would you want to sell this ?
I want a Lennon

You should get $2000 for this signature. There are many Beatles fans and it's worth every penny. Probably someone on this site would buy it.

Although no one has actually said it, I presume all agree that this is genuine.

Just goes to show how much variation there is in a mid-70s Lennon. I've seen others with similar parts but not all together like this. The "o" in John that looks like an "a" and the "Len" of Lennon are particularly unusual. I appeciate that Lennon probably had little to lean on and the bubblegum wrapper may have been slippery.

I would actually plump for genuine too.

With the photos, albeit showing their age, this has to be worth putting up for auction. I wouldn't let the package go for less than $3,000 or maybe $2,500 after commission and other fees.
