Hello,

I recently bought a signed photo of John Wayne as Rooster Gogburn from an estate sale. I was hoping someone here could tell me if it looks real or fake. It also came with a Pilar Wayne short note and signature. At the same time I bought a James Stewart signature on a photo from Winchester 1873, a Clint Eastwood signed photo and a Bill Maulden (cartoonist) signature with a drawing. Any help with the John Wayne signature would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!!

Secretarial.

I to don't like it.....sorry Jim

Thanks Cris and Joe,

Thought it was by the examples I could find on here but some of it looked right too. I'm brand new at this and excited about collecting. Fortunately, I only paid $100 for all four of them. The Bill Maulden is 100% correct so it’s still a good deal. I'll start another thread on the Clint Eastwood and James Stewart signed photos tomorrow. Hopefully one of them is correct. If nothing else it started a fire in my belly for collecting.

 Thank you!!

My first thought was that if this was signed in 1969 as written, then it should not be in a black sharpie type marker as they didn't exist back then.
