Here's another John autograph (with Yoko) - John's looks like a reasonable signature?

The signatures look off to me perhaps a bit shaky.  Here is a pic of my signed book for comparison.

+1

Hi Eric, thanks for your reply + photo: I must say they do look similar, although mine look like they were written hastily? Also, your latest reply came through blank?

Hi Nicholas,

The photo is Fab432's. My post was "+1" meaning I agree with Fab. The graphs appear a bit shaky to me and perhaps a bit odd. See what others say :)

Best wishes,

Eric

Thanks Eric, all is clear now :-)

When I saw these on "thesaleroom" I have to admit that they didn't sing "fake" to me. The only thing I noticed was that the Lennon was unusually large for a Grapefruit signing and the "J" is perhaps more like a late 70s example.

It is selling on 2 May at Stacey's in the UK and is currently at £850 with a couple of bidders and 21 watchers (me being one). I assume quite a few people believe it's real.

Looks OK to me! When you watch the signing sessions at Selfridges Dept.Store in London in July 1971...you can see that their space where they signed copies of Yoko's book,"Grapefruit"was cramped. You can't expect the signatures to be fully and neatly formed.

I think this is good and will be having a go at getting it....I bought a signed own write on Monday on same site.....signed John books are a good buy.

Yeah, I was interested in the same item - the final price wasn't exorbitant, but thought on the whole that prices were very inflated for that particular auction?

Who is actually selling these items ?

UK auction houses - is this case it's online only by Stacey's Auctioneers: http://www.staceyauction.com/Catalogue__241
