JSA Approved Mantle Forgery...?

This is a horrible Mantle "approved" by JSA.

This is a slowly signed poorly executed forgery IMO. The "M"s are atrocious.

I would hope this is a bad joke:

Nothing except for the fact that the auction house is actually listed on the top of the LOA that is not pictured in the Ebay listing and the item can easily be checked out online to see if legit.

You can't just print out a blanket LOA. It has to actually tie to an auction house.

This actual item sold one month ago. It had the JSA Auction LOA listed with it. Google 1957 Parade Mantle Autograph and you will find this exact item.

JSA goofed, pure and simple, unless this autograph is actually authentic.

From the auction house letters I've got from JSA before I'm 100% certain they don't even look at the items.

It clearly states on the back in small print that they are going off info they received from the auction house. If you want JSA to actually certify it you need to send it to JSA with letter and pay them $50. If they say its fake you get your $50 back.

And the loa is only valid for 30 days after purchase.
So an auction house loa is really worth nothing except a discount to get it properly certified.

That is not what it says.

It states that their examination is a cursory review and that due to volume they cannot spend as much time on each item as they normally do on a full review.

They review every autograph at the auction's site.

It does state that the description of the actual item is handled by the auction house but not the review of the actual autograph.

It is true that they do not guarantee to pass every lot on a full review but if they don't, you get the fee back and of course you can deal directly with the auction house for a refund.

Except for the refund part....when I had this happen to me jsa told me if it failed I got no refund. They also told me it was $100 lol. The person who was emailing me was so useless it was painful to correspond.

I won an item a few months back that came with a jsa pre approved letter just like this
They are given a list of items from an auction house and then copy, paste,delete.repeat the description
It doesn't guarantee authenticity and as it says after 45 days it's null and void anyway.
It's a play by jsa and the auction house to make more money - you see jsa you bid. After you have to pay to get the cert.

I actually returned my item to the auction house as they didn't say it was pre approved they said it came with jsa cert. which this isn't
