Hi John,

there should be a bunch of Garland contracts at HistoryDirect or whatever the name is.

If u have link please post .I'm trying to find my grandfather as he was her lawyer in the 60s and never seen anything and we kept nothing.

I don't know if they will have what you are looking for.

thanks

im hoping one day I find some signed contracts with my grandfather but my gut says everything was destroyed as they weren't performance related.

he also did liza ,Sammy , tonny benett les paul and a ton more but never seen anything. had had the pleasure of speaking to les about my grandfather and liza that's as far as I got. if it was now they would be worth a ton

That's too bad that you don't have anything of that material, John. Perhaps something will surface one day :)

Here are some quick images to compare the OP with - from 1954, 1960 and 1965, two of which I authenticated and sold. I would be very surprised if this were certified. The OP appears a flashy exaggerated semi-skilled attempt with some odd angles of incidence, odd slants and the baseline. While Garland employed more than one baseline I don't think the OP is among them. Overall too much flair while remaining too legible. The two "a's" in "Garland don't resonate off each other quite right to me and the last several letters seem overtly self conscious. The amount of slow pressure shown in the second image is something I have never seen with authentic Garland. I think this photo says as much as the first.

The photo in the OP program dates to 1962, which I thought but was unsure of so I backed it up to 1961. In the link below you can see in the wonderful signature study by Tricia Eaton of R&R Auctions exemplars of her signature at this time C. 1962 on.
