Gerald - My initial thought is "no" on this. I really can't tell if this is a vintage photo or not.  The ink itself and formation looks somewhat suspicious to my eye.  Can you send along a scan of the entire piece for us to look at.... noting if vintage or not based upon condition, possible notations on the verso, etc.?

p.s.  I may not be the best to judge here because, over time, I've become a bit of a jaded "Garland autograph curmudgeon" when it comes to accepting authenticity regarding her items.

The photograph appears vintage. Signature is not for me. The image appears C. 1940 and the signature doesn't quite fit from what is shown but we need to see the entire piece as Etienne has asked.

Still loped off....but I can see enough.  I don't care for the style of handwriting or ink used.
