Hi fellow autograph collectors,
I came across this autographed 8x10 on eBay supposedly signed by Gene, Ace, Paul and Peter. Do you guys think it's real or fake? Note: Where is the "3" on Peter's signature?

Curious how a Bono that was priced at a couple hundred bucks from Press Pass ends up resurfacing on Ebay a couple years later with a $9.99 starting bid by seller "maruiz" from Mexico. Looks like someone figured out what they actually have.
Not surprisingly, people are already bidding on that JSA sticker.

I agree that the Ace Frehley signatures on both the photo and the guitar are bad. The Roger Waters is absolutely terrible and though a good attempt on the Bonos, they are obviously bad as well. The Alice Coopers do have the correct form, but I also see some hesitation in both signatures. I have to agree with JXE that I believe they are a reputable dealer also, but with the sheer volume of items they have, they are bound to wind up with some bad material. Looks to me as if they need a music specialist on payroll to weed this stuff out before it is ever purchased in the first place (if they are purchasing it - just guessing).
I believe that Roger stopped authenticating for JSA but I could be wrong.
I still work for JSA as a consultant and have just in the past few weeks asked them to send me more of the items as some of the lower end items are fooling them. What I saw going on is some NY dealers were forging low end items in bulk and they are pretty good at them thus making it up in volume. Ted Nugent, Peter Gabriel, Sammy Hagar, Leon Russell and bands like that were coming out in droves but with my help we put a stop to it.
Thanks Roger.
I was thinking the same Mike, but Mike S might be correct. I cant imagine Roger authenticating bad items on these common names. Hopefully he will chime in. If he stopped working for them, then that certainly could explain alot. Or maybe they are using someone else for music items as well. Interesting none the less.
JSA's website lists him as their music authenticator and Roger's own website says:
"I am the full time music autograph authenticator for JSA since November 2006-Present"
Not trying to blame Roger, but I think he should be responsible for all the music items JSA has authenticated since 2006, unless full time music authenticator means something different.
This has been going on with Press Pass Collectibles for quite some time with their JSA authenticated questionable items, so it's nothing new.
I've gotten many KISS autographs over the years. I actually think the Paul and Gene are real, but the Ace and Peter are not.
Same thing goes here with these Sting signed photos offer by "Press Pass Collectibles", as I pointed out with the U2 and Alice Cooper. With a side-by-side comparison, you'll notice each have almost the exact guided signature lines, like it was quickly traced from an underneath reference copy. But if you check out any Sting signed photos authenticated by PSA, you won't find one Sting photo signed with this similar signature style. It's like PSA wouldn't passed these, but at one time JSA had no problem, even though these were so obviously forged. At what point, when does an authenticator stop and look, thinking "Hey, wait a minute??"
Wow, those are awful, I certainly did not see these. I am working very hard with JSA to clean up this kind of stuff.
