When a seller posts a photo like that, which is saved as so low-quality an image that you can't see the details, the likelihood that they're trying to hide something is high. They're scams the vast majority of the time. Even if they send good images and you buy it, you need to have it examined in person by either JSA or another expert.
This isn't someone who came across it at a flea market or inherited it and doesn't normally sell on eBay. This is someone who has been an active seller on eBay for years.
They're listing it on eBay at $1,500 but offered it to you at $950, a true bargain if it's legit. Why wouldn't they post better photos and try to get market value before offering it to you at a fire sale price?
