KOUFAX/DRYSDALE BASEBALL

HELLO EVERYBODY.WELL I READ THE ARTICLE HERE ABOUT THE HOME SHOPPING CHANNEL AND THE FORGERIES AND I GOT A LITTLE SCARED BECAUSE THAT'S WHERE THIS BALL CAME FROM.I THINK I BOUGHT IT IN THE EARLY NINETIES AND IT CAME WITH A COA FROM THE SCOREBOARD.IT LOOKS GOOD TO ME. ON A SIDE NOTE,I GOT THIS OLD SHELLACKED HARDRIDGE BALL THAT HAS A FEW AUTOGRAPHS ON IT BARELY LEGIBLE AND I WAS WONDERING IF I COULD POST IT HERE AND SEE IF YOU GUYS CAN RECOGNIZE ANY OF THEM.BECAUSE I HAVE NO IDEA WHO THEY ARE.

Scoreboard was a good company and totally legit. They were the first "Steiner" long before there was Steiner.

The problem is, they had a simple paper COA that is easily photocopied and over the years, scammers have flooded the market with fake Scoreboard COAs. Plus, Scoreboard had no hologram tying the item back to the COA, so some scammers have used real Scoreboards certs but swapped with a bad item.

The ball looks okay to me, but I am no expert in Koufax. I have a pretty decent eye for Drysdale and that looks good IMO. If you received this directly from a legitimate retailer in the 90s with an original Scoreboard COA (look for watermark on back), I would have no worries.

I have seen this same koufax/drysdale ball come with a Shop at home cert. The drysdale was on the sweet spot and I suspect a forgery. The koufax on the same ball seemed good.

These I have seen, with the koufax on the sweet spot, are real imho. This one is a beaut!
