This Cobain was sold along with 2 other signed cd cover on ebay 2 months ago for 750 to 1250 and now its back on ebay for 8k,apparently this was signed at same time polaroids were same aids auction but all the cd covers looked different to polaroid signatures. Any thoughts on the authenticity of the item.

I don't think that the cd cover is genuine. I know that Kurt's hand writing was all over the place, but this just don't feel right to me. If I was the seller of a genuine Kurt Cobain autograph, I would not use another persons picture to try to prove that my autograph are genuine.

The polaroid pictures on the other hand are genuine and very nice.

Read through this threat. I posted several reason why this seller did what he did. Buddy, these are real!!!

N.Steiger, I agree they are good and vary rare full name Cobain's at that. I've got him in person before and can tell you he is about as consistant as Al Pacino.....

If you look at the ebay item number and look at his other listings they're all authentic items. That should tell you something

EVERYTHING I LIST WAS OBTAINED IN PERSON IN MY PRESENCE AND HAS BEEN A HOBBY FOR THE LAST 20 YEARS.

But he did not obtained this signed CD cover in person. He bought it from another seller a few months ago and relisted it. Also his other Nirvana signed promotional pic. He has a pic of Krist Novoselic signing a guitar guard and Dave Grohl signing something else from Foo Fighters.

I think you're wrong. The photo is good. I have one I got in person that looks identical. He (Kurt) has too many variations.....

I disagree... The photo and cd are both signed by 3 different hands. People are not that smart when it comes to faking them. Those are real. I'll scan the one I have and show you

Give it a scan Kevin and post it thanks mate

N. Steiger I have to agreed with you that 99% of his stuff looks legit. I second that!!

It is 100% real. I bid on all these. I have seen these before. Meaning, the signed items from this specific auction and they are, as far as I have ever seen, the only time Kurt signed his last name on anything other then contracts. All those paper cuts and travel brochures are all fake that bare his last name in my opinion.

The thing is, ebay has a series of flippers. They hunt daily for the good deals and they snatch up a lot of good stuff for cheap and then sell them for the correct value. Kurt's autograph on this CD is worth 2-3k easy, but a full namer is the rarest of the rare and I feel it could be worth up to 4-5k to the right buyer but 8k is not accurate. But what these guys do is toss out a massive price and hope someone offers half thinking they get a good deal but in the end he would be happy with 4k.

In regards to the Polaroid... Kurt was a goof and just hamed up his signature on the person photo's... sometime in early late 93 and early 94 Kurt switch over to only signing "Kurt" so in the time frame you still could see the Kurdt from time to time.

I feel extremely confident with Cobain so email me anytime you have samples to look at.

How about this one. The problem is no one has any examples of his full signature. Theres a few on the net.

Is this authentic?
